What if the easy thing were always the right thing?

Iyas A · Nov 14, 2022 ·

Make doing right easy.

If there were a single mantra for consistently improving business (and life, and the planet, and my dancing), it would be tough to find a more effective one than “make it easy to do the right thing”.

Whether it’s addressing commercial issues, strategic execution, or values (e.g. Diversity as I discuss it with Martin Mason in my upcoming Karmic Capitalist episode), if we can make “right” the easy choice, then we quickly get to a better place.

So if your business isn’t doing as well as it should, could it be that doing the things that would make it do well are too hard? That there’s too much friction?

If so simplify. Or make it routine. Or eliminate process that adds no value. Or make it clear. Or make it a no-brainer. Or do any of the countless things that will make it easier for you and your team to do the right thing.

If it’s too hard, it’s not going to work. Willpower may get you going, but it won’t sustain you.

Today's economy and environment is full of uncertainty and opportunity. Are you confident in you and your leadership team's ability to build and control your business going into 2023? We're looking for a group of 5 CEOs (10 to 100 employees) to join us on this workshop to talk through how to make your strategy, purpose and values happen. Join us.
